I'm so excited for the release of Her Financial Freedom! Ready to download?

So many “things” are in the works since last month. It seems for every 5 items off the to do list I add 10 more and they’re all good. I’m neck deep re-vamping the Facebook and Instagram page and learning the do’s and don’ts so I don’t end up in Facebook jail. Then I decided to research putting together group money sessions for Christian divorced women and I have much more to learn. Stay tuned!

Another change is introducing a spending plan option for each paycheck instead of the entire month. Personally, I started my budget learning journey this route in 2012 and continue today. At the time I found a legal pad and wrote everything out long hand every two weeks. It wasn’t until 3 years ago I transitioned to a fill in the blanks online form. Now I use 2 separate spreadsheets but they’re very similar. One spreadsheet tracks my monthly spending from paycheck to paycheck while the other tracks my short-term savings.

Which is best for you? It depends on several factors. Things like your individual style, when your paychecks are received, are you a 1 or 2 income household, and are their side hustles to consider?

Our first step - let’s get your spending organized and laid out.

I’m a strong believer in doing a paycheck budget system for a couple of reasons. While we look at and evaluate the month, this system goes from the first paycheck to the next. The best part I like is allocating my monthly large expenses in half. For instance, if your rent/mortgage is $1200.00 per month, allocate $600.00 from each check.

If you’re paid bi-weekly or twice monthly this works beautifully and is much more manageable, in my opinion. You will pay things ahead for the next month, instead of late!

Once you get on this system, it’s easier to stay organized and back on track.

Your budget will become more streamlined. You will know exactly what to pay and when to pay it.

Plus, it takes less than an hour a month to update and manage everything. Typically I spend 30 minutes a month now.

No longer paying things late but actually early? Goodbye late charges!!

If you are you ready to get back on track with an easy-to-use system reach out to me here via email.

If you are looking for help with:

  1. Starting your monthly household budget (and sticking to it!)
  2. Navigating unexpected expenses that derail your goals (and your budget!)
  3. Saving for large purchases and big family goals!
  4. Controlling your spending (especially on the groceries or on coffee)
  5. Figuring out the right place to start or an action to take to move forward towards financial freedom
  6. Finding time in your busy life to make personal finance a priority

So excited to share something special with you!!

For those who may have missed my announcement last week on social media I finally released my first ever digital mini e-book for the ladies! I say finally because I have written, changed, re-written, changed the title a few times, re-written again until I decided it was time to let it go.

“Her Financial Freedom” was birthed from the desire to give women, especially Christian divorced women a solid financial foundation to start building and learning from. It is Five - Simple Steps taking you from the unknown to having your financial house in order. You will learn why it’s important to have an emergency fund and how to determine a dollar amount that fits your situation and lifestyle. I show you how much your savings can increase simply by lowering your monthly debt payments and more.

Click HERE for free PDF download. You’re welcome to share with girlfriends, sisters, mothers, cousins, and everyone you think will benefit. I welcome your feedback and what you would like to see in future e-books as I build my business serving you.

My long-term goal is two-fold. The first - to build on this booklet and take us even deeper into our financial future with additional e-books. The next big goal I mentioned earlier is to offer a women’s money group where we come together weekly or bi-weekly, work through our spending plans and all things money we need to know about. All with complete privacy and judgement-free zones.

Time for me to get back to the “to do” list!!

Do I really need an emergency fund? Why can't I just use my credit card if an emergency pops up? Insert eye-rolling! Let's start at the beginning. A true emergency is unexpected, necessary, and urgent. The dreaded auto mishap on the highway, cutting yourself while chopping veggies, break a tooth on a fortune cookie (yes, it really happened to me) or a sudden job loss are actual emergencies. I love my emergency fund. Actually, I LOVE my emergency fund. It's there to be a buffer between me and...
